Yes, I know YouTube is a full-color sewer of mediocrity. Every so often, a reputable source puts up a reputable short. Here’s one that’s reputable, and not-so-short:

Planets, Asteroids, and Interstellar Interlopers, OH MY! Revealing the Solar System with JWST
Stefanie Milam is a planetary scientist, specializing in chemistry. What a time to be a chemist- the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) views in the infrared, and nontrivially. This gives it an ability to see molecular spectra, which are generally NOT in visible wavelengths. So, what can we do in the IR?
Milam gives us a rundown of JW’s capabilities for Solar System objects. I won’t repeat the list when you can just watch the video. Suffice it to say, JW has capabilities on asteroids and comets. As examples, Milam goes over Main-Belt comets, 2024 YR4, and 3I/ATLAS. What a time to be a planetary astronomy, and a chemist with time allocated on JW!
