Hinkle, J. T. Yang, B. Meech, K. J. et al. JCMT Constraints on the Early-Time HCN and CO Emission and HCN Temporal Evolution of 3I/ATLAS
I’ve said it before: certain molecules (including comet-relevant volatiles) have spectral features in the radio and millimeter bands. Hinkle et al. agree, and use such a telescope. They see (as much as they can see) the molecules CO and -CN, very comet-worthy.
