Posted to Astronomers’ Telegram last week, two more short reports:

Bolin, B. Wong, I. Lemaux, B. et al.  Gemini pre-perihelion detection of CN/C3/C2 gas emission and dust fans in interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS  on 20 Nov 2025; 02:37 UT

Ganesh, S. Ahuja, G. B., A. et al.  Comet 3I/ATLAS: Post-perihelion spectroscopic results from PRL Mt Abu Observatory  on 19 Nov 2025;

Many comets have a faint blue-green color. Our visitor 3I/ATLAS is just one more such comet. The hint of cyan is from, variously, cyano-molecules or cyano-radicals, or forms of carbon like C2 and C3 that don’t exist on Earth. All these have in common a spectral signature that happens to be in the visible range, unlike most other molecules.

The comet is also visible from, among others, India. Any notion of conspiracy or ‘NASA is hiding the evidence! NASA is hiding the evidence’ falls flat in the face of the worldwide astronomical community… including amateurs with decent ‘scopes and imaging skills.
