Space Sci Review Tri-Flew

The in-depth journal Space Science Reviews (hence, “Review”) scores a hat trick:

Cox, M. Cuddy, C. Schneider, J. et al.  The Lucy Spacecraft  Art 94  s11214-025-01190-6
Polanskey, C. A. Elkins-Tanton, L. T. Bell, J. F. et al.  Psyche Mission Description and Design Rationale  Art 95  s11214-025-01218-x
Oh, D. Y. Goebel, D. M. Brown, G. M. et al.  Design and Development of the Psyche Spacecraft for NASA’s Discovery Program  Art 96  s11214-035-01222-1

The first one’s indulgent if you’re a hardware geek- other aspects of the Lucy mission had been covered before, and covered by SpaceSciRev. Which actually makes this one a bit short… for SpaceSciRev.

Now the second one, that’s long. The Psyche mission published papers on some of its instruments, but here’s the mission. The whole mission. This paper starts with the Psyche project proposal, continues through construction, and on to mission ops at the asteroid. Should you not be familiar already with the Psyche project, I actually wouldn’t recommend this as your introduction.

The third paper is more focused, but not if you’re a (literal) hardware geek. By “spacecraft”, the authors also cover optics, electronics, telecom, power, and software, if you needed such topics. We don’t build and fly spacecraft like mechanical (wind-up) watches, of course. Have a dive into the subsystems.
