New July edition of Cometary Science Newsletter. Since there happens to be a comet of note at this moment- very interesting, quite rare and speedy– the site is highly relevant.
In this particular case, a web site has been set up to maximize science return and minimize redundancy on 3I/ATLAS. All observers are invited to post their results/plans to a central bulletin board, allowing others to optimize their own efforts in turn. This is somewhat like the (partial) coordination of telescopes at the Deep Impact cratering event in 2005. Like that program, this is dependent- entirely dependent- on the willingness and diligence of astronomers to coordinate.
