NASA Infrared Telescope Facility Strategic Planning: Seeking Community Input
The IRTF is, by some metrics, the top telescope for doing asteroid follow-up. It is a major asset within our community. Less often, it is used for pre-/post-context for spacecraft missions- the observatory takes a series of data to support analyses of a Solar System body, instead of just a limited dataset from a probe.
Now’s your chance. If telescope users do not make their voices heard, concerns will not get resolved.
